Markie's Sweets was created from a love of baking and a passion for bringing people together through homemade desserts. What started as baking for family and friends quickly grew into something more-sharing sweet treats with the community.

The name "Markie's Sweets" holds a special place in my heart, inspired by my older brother. It's a way to honor him and keep his spirit a part of something that brings joy to others.

Every dessert is made from scratch with attention to detail and a whole lot of heart-made with love from up above.

Hi, I'm Heather!
Welcome to Markie's Sweets by Heather
​I'm a mom to three wonderful boys—18, 16, and 12—and the baker behind every cookie, cupcake, brownie, and sweet treat you'll find here.
The name Markie's Sweets comes from my older brother, Mark, who we lovingly called Markie. Losing him changed my life, and when it came time to name my business, there was never really another option. This bakery is my way of keeping his memory close and sharing a little love and happiness with others. That's where my slogan, "Made with Love from Up Above," comes from.
Life hasn't always been easy. I lost my dad when I was young, and June 9, 2026 marked 30 years since his passing (his name was Mark Sr). Those losses taught me how precious family, memories, and time together truly are. They also taught me that sometimes the simplest things—a favorite dessert, a family gathering, a birthday celebration, or a plate of cookies shared with someone you love—can mean the most.
What started as a love for baking eventually grew into a dream of creating homemade desserts for my community. Today, every order is baked from my home kitchen as a registered Minnesota Cottage Food Producer. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, hosting a family gathering, planning an office event, or simply treating yourself, I'm honored to be a small part of your special moments.
